Third Party Independent Passive Fire Consultant and Inspector

Project Overview

Absolute Fire Solution served as an independent passive fire consultant for the Waterloo Metro Quarter Development, a significant urban project in NSW.

SCOPE OF WORK

Reviewed consultant and subcontractor passive fire matrix to demonstrate the required fire rating locations, proposed products, and relevant data sheets.
Provided inspection registers, reports, and marked-up drawings.
Participated in value management/engineering and risk management workshops.
At Practical Completion, provided a third-party inspection certificate confirming that the fire-rated penetrations were protected per AS1530.4 and AS4072.1, complying with C3.15 of the NCC during the construction stage.

Outcome

Ongoing project.
The Fire matrix includes all potential Passive Fire Protection systems with the relevant test and assessment reports, submitted early in the project to the Private Certifier.
Assisted the client in substituting Passive Fire Protection systems when design changes occurred during construction.
Prepared and submitted inspection registers, reports with photos, and marked-up drawings for required areas before installing partition walls and ceilings.
