Project Overview

Mirvac engaged Absolute Fire Solution to perform annual inspections and manage the rectification work necessary to meet fire safety compliance for Buildings 1, 2, 3, and the Shed at the Australian Technology Park. This project involved thorough assessments of fire protection systems and necessary upgrades to ensure adherence to Australian fire safety standards.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Conducted a thorough annual inspection of the fire safety systems across all buildings and the Shed, in line with the requirements of the AS Standards and NCC as stipulated in the AFSS.
  • Collaborated with Mirvac and site contractors to review and clarify non-compliant items and facilitate ongoing communication regarding rectification progress.
  • Developed detailed rectification methodologies and cost estimates to address all identified non-compliance issues.
  • Completed all necessary rectification work, which included the installation and repair of fire seals, fire/smoke dampers, and other fire protection measures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepared and submitted a comprehensive final inspection report, including photographic documentation of the completed rectification work and confirmation of compliance with all relevant fire safety measures listed on the AFSS.

Outcome

  • Successfully identified and rectified all non-compliant items per the relevant AS Standards and NCC requirements.
  • Collaborated effectively with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of all rectification work within the designated project timeline.
