Project Overview

Absolute Fire Solution has been engaged on the Amazon SYD66 Athena project, which operates as both an active construction site and an occupied facility. This involves specific tasks for different areas, including fire sealing and fire damper inspections in construction zones, and AFSS compliance audits in the handed-over sections.

SCOPE OF WORK

Active Construction: 

  • Collaborated with Stowe Australia to conduct fire sealing for electrical service penetrations, ensuring adherence to AS1530.4 and AS4072.1 standards across active construction areas.
  • Worked alongside Austral Air to perform fire damper inspections and fire sealing for mechanical services, ensuring compliance with AS1530.4, AS4072.1, AS1668.1, AS1682.1, and AS1682.2 standards to maintain fire safety within the construction zones.


Amazon Operations:

  • Engaged by Unified Fire Group to conduct AFSS compliance audits, providing solutions and methodologies for fire sealing in accordance with NCC and relevant AS Standards.
  • Developed tailored fire sealing solutions to address compliance needs and conducted thorough assessments to support AFSS certification.

Outcome

  • Successfully completed fire sealing and fire damper inspections in the construction zones, upholding AS Standards and NCC requirements while contributing to the project’s progress with effective fire safety solutions.
  • Provided customized methodologies for fire sealing in the handed-over sections, enabling AFSS compliance for Unified Fire Group.
