Project Overview
AURA – 168 Walker Street is one of the 28-storey high-rise Class 2 residential buildings recently completed by Absolute Fire Solution for Carrington Electrical Services.
SCOPE OF WORK
- Reviewed electrical drawings with the relevant builder work and fire compartment drawings to determine the FRLs of electrical service penetrations.
- Prepared the fire matrix, including the proposed Passive Fire Protection system specifications, with relevant test and assessment reports.
- Provided consultation throughout the project, attending meetings and responding to Passive Fire-related inquiries.
- Fire-sealed the electrical service penetration with a passive fire protection system per AS1530.4 and 4072.1 to comply with NCC requirements.
- Prepared and submitted the Fire seal installation certificate, Passive Fire Register, installation report with photos, and marked-up drawings of all service penetrations.
Outcome
- All electrical penetrations were fire-sealed in compliance with AS Standards and NCC requirements.
- Completed large quantities of service penetrations within the limited time allowed per the construction program.
- Uploaded photo evidence of compliant details of each electrical penetration to “Ctrldoc” as per additional project requirements.
