Supply, Install, and Certify electrical and mechanical service penetration in accordance with the relevant AS Standards and NCC requirements to achieve the required Fire Resistance Levels (FRLs).
Project Overview
Absolute Fire Solution was engaged to ensure fire protection compliance for the MOC1 Substation as part of the M6 Stage 1 Motorway project.

SCOPE OF WORK
- Reviewed builder work and fire compartment drawings to determine FRLs of electrical service penetrations.
- Prepared a fire matrix, including proposed Passive Fire Protection system specifications, with relevant test and assessment reports.
- Provided consultation throughout the project, attended meetings, and responded to Passive Fire-related inquiries.
- Fire-sealed electrical and mechanical service penetrations with passive fire protection systems per AS1530.4 and 4072.1 to comply with NCC requirements.
- Prepared and submitted Fire seal installation certificates, Passive Fire Registers, installation reports with photos, and marked-up drawings of all service penetrations.
Outcome
- The project was completed to the client’s satisfaction, equipping the industrial facility with state-of-the-art passive fire protection systems.
- Absolute Fire Solution continues to assist CPB Contractors GHELLA UGL Joint Venture with the tender for the main Passive Fire contract and is looking forward to assisting with further passive fire protection works at later stages.
